I assume that there was some kind of handshake going on behind the scenes, but i was never really authenticated. Cause Additional/custom ISAPI filter is enabled on domain that prevents password protection work.

I want *ANYONE* to be able to view the web site without having to log in. I shared the root folder that contained all my websites so I could access the files (to publish updates) over the network. There shouldn't be a login box that pops up at all, if my assumptions are correct. I gave everybody in the ACL read (and read/write) permissions and all of a sudden I could log in. I am now able to login with a secondary Administrator account. Thank you so much!

I suggest double checking that you have authentication rules set in place (I am using IIS 8): Go to IIS managerSelect your desired website Select the Authentication Rules featureAlong the left Windows 2008 keeps rejecting the correct user name and password. This helped.

I got the credentials for watson service (from json document containing credentials) by deploying a watson service in bluemix and hardcoded those here in my code. We have setup IIS authentication as Integrated Authentication My environment is Windows 2008 Standard (Version6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001), IIS 7.0 All the users are able to login except I moved the NTLM to the top most spot, and BAM that fixed it. ********************************************** This worked for me.
